Our powerful content management system allows non-technical administrators to manage and maintain your web site in-house, cutting out the delays and expense associated with outsourcing your website updates.

Website Features
Bespoke Design
All our websites are designed to have a look and feel that complements your business. We discuss with you your requirements, any style and structure that you have a preference for and any colour schemes and logos that you would like us to use.

Our in-house designers will then create a mock-up page of the design for you to give your feedback on. We will then iterate the design until you are completely happy with the look of your site. For our Starter package we will then ask you to sign off the page and will use this look to create the remaining pages on your website. For Standard and Pro packages we will design one or two further pages for your sign off before progressing to the build of the site.

Once designs have been signed off they are taken by one of our in-house programmers to convert into html pages, it is for this reason that we ask for sign-off and may need to charge for design changes after this time.
XHTML Compliant Website
XHTML is a markup language similar to HTML, but that also conforms to XML syntax.

A markup language tells the browsers how to display the website on the page - complying to XHTML standards helps your website look the same across browsers as well as aiding accessibility and search engine optimisation.

We pay attention to on-site search engine optimisation techniques on all our websites and offer an additional, advanced, SEO service for all clients who are interested in further development.
Content Managed Page Templates
Website costs are highly influenced by the number of page 'templates' or types and the functionality involved, rather than the number of pages that are created.

At TVI we build websites that allow you to add unlimited pages through TVI Content whenever you want at no extra cost. This means that your site can expand as your business does without you needing to speak to us everytime you need to add a page. Talk to us about your ideal site and we can decide with you how many page templates you may need (these page templates are in addition to the usual website pages, they aren't created to remove bespoke design from your site, simply to enhance its capabilities!)

Links Page
A links page is essential if you are interested in optimizing your website. As well as inbound links assisting in your search engine indexing, it is also believed that strategic outbound links can improve your rankings too.
Contact Page
If a customer wants to speak to you we believe that they should be able to do this easily through your website. That isn't to say that a strategically placed and written FAQ page can't answer many of their questions but nothing can beat the personal touch (just give us a ring if you don't believe us!)

A well designed contact page / section should have contact details for all departments, an enquiry submission form (and at least one email address) plus a map showing your location if you are happy with personal visits.
Multi-tier Menu
Pages and sub-pages (and even sub-sub-pages) can be a useful way of categorising information and providing your visitors with a more easily navigable website.

When teamed with page templates this feature can allow almost unlimited content without losing your visitors among the pages.
News Feed (RSS) from External Website
Search engines like to re-visit websites that change content on a regular basis as this means that you are (probably) providing a better visitor experience (assuming that your content is relevant to your website)

If you lack the resources to write content on a frequent basis it may be worth integrating a relevant News RSS feed into your site. This can then provide you with the changeable content automatically.

If your industry doesn't seem to have a relevant RSS news feed provider why not consider writing your own and making it available for syndication yourself through your website - getting your content onto other websites can benefit your own business hugely!
FAQ Page
Frequently Asked Questions or Q&A (Questions & Answers)
These pages just do exactly what it says on the tin(s)! A list of questions or statements linking through to specific answers - great for both human and search engine spider visitors!

File Storage & Downloads
Downloadable documents (e.g PDFs) can be a useful way of providing your visitors with additional information such as terms & conditions, offline registration forms or printable catalogues.

Care needs to be taken that not too much content is 'hidden' in these files as they are not indexable by search engines - we can advise on your options if you would like to provide content in multiple formats - just ask!

TVI can also build file storage applications for your company allowing employees to share documents and other information online through password protected areas.
Keyword Search
A keyword search can be set up to return all results (pages) that contain the search terms entered. This feature can be particularly useful for very large sites or for those with product catalogues etc.
Product Catalogue
A product catalogue works much in the same way as an Ecommerce Website does to present your product information:

Categories, Sub-categories, Summary pages and Product pages allow complete flexibility for displaying the relevant details and linking through to the contact page will encourage potential customers to contact you for further details.
Interactive Maps
Interactive maps (Google maps or MSN for example) can be used in many different ways to enhance your websites.

We have been developing integrations such as these since the services have been available; from automatically showing your office location on a contact form to showing all properties on an Estate Agency property site or allowing customers to search for locations or services by postcode, the possibilities are virtually unlimited!
